About Ralph de la Vega

Ralph de la Vega, president and CEO, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets, was inspired by his grandmother, Julia Diaz Gomez, who was a school teacher in Cuba, to pursue a college education.  Today, he works to inspire others to get the best education possible via his volunteer work as Chairman of Junior Achievement Worldwide and Chairman of Hispanic Initiatives for Boy Scouts of America.  He also has written a book, “Obstacles Welcome: Turn Adversity into Advantage in Business and Life” (Thomas Nelson, October 2009), with life and work lessons to help people, especially young people, succeed.
